My favorite part is watching grown men cry over a game.

… And thank Jeebus. As if God would care who wins a silly game. LOL

In their defense, I could see how a lot of emotion is tied up in the outcome, pro or con. It's natural for them to show a reaction of one kind of another. But… It does get a little creepy when they can't regain their composure. "Awkward…" :bolt:

I only say that cause I work with a couple of guys who think sports are manly and any kind of racing is dumb.

I'm like "that's cool, you can rattle off thousands of statistics of other men and their teams" and that isn't nerdy for some reason. And they always refer to their team as "we." Really? Were you drafted this year? I didn't think so. In fact, you will never, EVER play ANY sports even on a semi professional level.

Yet I can buy or build an awesome car and take it to tracks where professionals actually race and have a huge adrenaline rush and awesome experience. And I'm the nerd. Whatever.

Following sports is as bad as dungeons and dragons, only difference is its much more socially acceptable.

I like hockey a bit and watch the fights. If there was fibhtingf allowed in football you can bet your ass I'd have more tickets.

That is too damn funny, and it is more often the case than you would imagine. I stifle a laugh every time someone mentions "our defense" and "our offense" when describing a recent high-profile game. I'm like "Are you on the payroll?"

I'm actually relieved that the Seahawks did well because I won't be met with a lot of crabby people on Monday morning than anything else. Was it a good game? Yes. That's all it was. At the end of the day, I'm still poor, and the players are all still spoiled millionaires. I'm not bitter about it, it's just a fact of life!

That it was. I'm from WI so I'm obligated to support WI teams, just gotta knock those "jocks" down a few pegs every once in a while. Everythings been said in fun!

With practice? I'm sorry you hate Seattle. Have you been here?

All I can say is that I know my former boss is a die hard Green Bay fan, as are a few of my former coworkers. I have been there and know how they must feel. At the end of the day, I'm still poor and the team players are still multi-millionaires, so life indeed goes on…

That said, it was a pretty amazing game, regardless of victor. Fans and ticketholders alike enjoyed a true show. And again, Green Bay totally represented.
No, I have not been there. Im strictly speaking of the football teams. Mainly Richard Sherman and Marshawn Lynch, cant stand em. Russell Wilson on the other hand is a great player and ambassador for the sport. After NE won last night it pretty much solidified the fact that I wont be watching the SB this year.

I know what you mean, TNcoupe. Some bad apples can sour people on a whole team. It's unfortunate. But as a local, I guess you learn to take the good with the bad. It's like having favorite brothers or sisters, and those who are less favorable.

I have been a GB fan since my favorite player of all time (Reggie White) got sent to them in the 90s. The problem is the media, they play up the stupid stuff Sherman and Lynch do instead of showing what Wilson says and does.
