Solo Mach Thunder or MBRP Race?

I'm really torn between the borla s-type vs Solo Mach thunder. I love the tone of the borla but worried it's not loud enough.

If you like the raspy tone; they the borla may be the system for you.

did you watch the video on the solo performance website. I think the mic is a bit sensitive, but sounds good.

Those videos are ok but they don't really go WOT or rev it high enough during stationary. It's not their cars so I feel they weren't driving it hard enough.

I"ve heard nothing but praise for the Solo exhausts. I can't say the same about the MBRP...seems many people have regrets with their MBRP purchase.

I can see a whole thread on the Solo for sure compared to the MBRP. Would be nice to see an MBRP Race vs Solo Thunder comparison side by side though.

Is there any drone with the the Thunder? Also, it seems like on a lot of videos, cold start sounds like a truck. I'm assuming it sounds deeper and better in person?

hardly any drone - that's what the j pipes are for on it

What he said. I had the Thunder and I've heard MBRP Race. Thunder sounds better and built better, IMO. "Made in Canada"... so they were being very nice when they built it, saying thank you and please and I'm sorry all the time.

I have had mbrp race and the street. Race has a deep tone but drone is killer. Street has no drone but higher rpm rasp is horrible. Now I have the mach thunder it's deep, no rasp and zero drone! It's also not obnoxiously loud with cats.

That's what I heard; they should do a "Spring into Summer" sale, I would really like to get this bolted on for the warmer weather.

Mach Thunder all day. Sounds amazing and quality is great! You will not be disappointed. I have someone say that they love the way my car sounds at least once a week!

+1 for the Mach Thunder. I just wanted to say that there isn't any bad reviews in the Solo topic after 800+ posts, but after reading all of the posts here, I think it is already obvious...

About the cars not being driven hard enough on the Solo videos (my car is on the Mach XV and the Axleback ones, my friend's convertible is on the Mach Thunder and the Street Race videos) - well, we were present and Jeff from Solo had our permission to drive as he wish (with all responsibility on him... ;-) ) but most of the videos were taken in small back country roads north of Toronto, so he could drive only so hard/fast...
