Trying to get a deep, grumbly, louder than stock but not obnoxious, no drone exhaust.

Current my have it narrowed to Solo Performancr Mach Thunder and MBRP Race.

Suggestions on which one to get?

Thanks!

I've seen this! It was actually what made me question the Mach thunder because I thought it was a deep sound but in the video it just sounds like the large hollow raspy sound

It sounds amazing, my video skills are crap, especially with a cell phone in windy conditions...there are videos done by Solo that sold me

I installed the MBRP Street catback system - it is pretty damn loud. I am pretty sure the MBRP Race would be too much for me.

The MBRP Street sounds just like the video above. When the car starts, there is a loud rumble that is about twice the volume of a normal idle. Once the car runs for about 10 to 20 seconds, it mellows out and becomes a little more civilized. I'm guessing it has to do with cold start emissions.

On the road, drone is manageable, but it is a loud loud system when you open it up. You will definitely be noticed when you get on the throttle, which is one reason I am thinking about going to cutouts. I like the sound, but there are times when I want to goose it without blasting everyone.

Mach Thunder. The craftsmanship is amazing as is the sounds this catback emits :)

Another vote for Mach Thunder. I have Mach thunder on mine, my Mom has MBRP on hers and I think it sounds terrible under WOT

I don't really like my MBRP race, wish I had spent the money on a corsa system or more expensive one. I always thought people who complained about drone were exaggerating, but now that i have it its rather annoying. I like the tone and loudness but drone at 1800-2000 is awful.

Is there any drone with the the Thunder? Also, it seems like on a lot of videos, cold start sounds like a truck. I'm assuming it sounds deeper and better in person?

I had the MBRP Street; hated it, sounded ok at low rpm, but Wot was a shame.

I have been looking at the Solo Mach XV, I think that is the sound and volume I want, but still hard to tell, some videos it sounds raspy and some it doesn't. I probably just need to bite the bullet and trust the members who have praised this system.

If you hate the rasp, then borla s-type is out, right?

Not a fan of rasp; I thought the mangaflows sounded good, but seemed to get raspy at high rams, so I ruled them out.

i really think the Solo's sound the best if you want a deep tone with little rasp and the J-pipe will eliminate the drone.

I'm really torn between the borla s-type vs Solo Mach thunder. I love the tone of the borla but worried it's not loud enough.
