Haha. I'm intrigued by the SVE Drift 19x9.5's and the GF9 19x9.5's as a square setup with 275's. This seems to be the optimal choice for me.

I've been looking at wheels (slowly) for weeks. MRR M350's are at the top of my list, partly just bc with a gunmetal finish they will look good on a yellow stang.

How do you like split-spoke designs? They look a little "spidery" on a car like mine. But they should look good black on Magnetic.

I think it certainly adds a more "premium" feel rather than a "race" feel. I love that style of wheel, and in the right color it can look very good.

I did a lot of study and decided to go with 19". I think it just looks slightly better. And there were enough tire choices (granted, there are more choices with 20", but for me it didn't matter). I decided on Forgestar CF5V wheels in matte gunmetal in 19x10 Front and 19x11 Rear with Michelin Pilot Super Sport 275/40/19 and 305/35/19. To be installed by October 30. My objective for the mod was twofold: 1) aggressive appearance; 2) better traction. I will track the car only a few times per year and it is a DD. Final judgment remains to be made based on a spirited road test, but I am satisfied that I did my homework well.

We you stand back from your car by many paces, 18's look a bit too close to "stock" (i.e. base model 17" wheels), and the car's body tends to "dominate" in scale, if you know what I mean. By contrast the 20's do look at little "street poser" to a wannabe racer type like myself. And I don't care for the narrow sidewall height on a 20 - it is bad enough on a 19.

The 19's seem to strike the best balance, IMO. But I hear 18's can be the hot setup for autocross.

That's an amazing setup! Wish I had the cash to run something like that!

18x10's would be awesome for autocross. Light and with plenty of sidewall and footprint.

Since I have GT auto6, I can run 18's, but there aren't as many "good looking" wheel choices. And I still think M350 gunmetal looks badass on the yellow car. (Black is terrible on yellow, IMO.)

The MRR GF9 wheels are cut on order and provide a nice deep concave, so for instance a 19x9.5 GF9 can be nice and flush pair that with a 275/40/19 tire and its a win in my books.
