I picked up my car on 24 February. I was a bit concerned at first because the build started on the Friday before the Super Bowl and finished the Monday after. Anyway, I've put about 500 miles on it, so I'm halfway thru the break-in. So far, I have:

No vibration between 50 & 70 . . .
No water in the truck or back seat . . .
No panel alignment issues (At least none I can see without a micrometer!) . . .
No transmission issues (I have the manual tranny) . . .
No problems of any kind!

The card has been freaking PERFECT! And OMG do I LOVE driving it! As it breaks in and loosens up, it just keeps getting better and better!!

I've been driving for 50 years, and I have NEVER driven a car this powerful and responsive! I've gotta say that Ford knocked it out of the park with the 6G!

That's great and expected of a brand new car. Glad you're enjoying it.

Good to hear. Maybe Ford has ironed out some of the issues with the panel alignment and driveshaft vibration. My fingers are crossed, as I have a new Stang on order myself. Glad you're happy with it.

I was (and still am a little) concerned about all the issues I've read about. But I've found that between myself and the 8 or so other guys I've met with s550 cars....nobody has had any serious issues yet. If you read on the internet long enough you'll think every car out there is a terrible car. People get on the Internet and complain when things go wrong. People (enthusiasts aside) don't get on the Internet just to report trouble free ownership...

I have been driving for 48 years. For me this the first car I I joy as much as I do. Why did I let decades go by driving characterless sedans? Wife and children I guess

Nice, glad you are enjoying! I have had mine going on 10 months and only one minor intermittent issue, one of the rear tail lamps does not work every now and again. Seems to reset and work once I start the car again. Aside from that, it is smooth, creak free, and has been amazing to drive (also including manual tranny)! My favorite car in 25 years of driving. Was planning to keep some of the miles off of it during the rainy season, but every day when the choosing time comes, I choose the 'Stang... :ford:

couldn't agree more with all of you!
Took delivery Jan 30 and now even enjoy coming to work again just so I can have another drive.
Got my license 52 yrs ago this April, Having to wait all this time for a RHD version has only sweetened the end result
Enjoy!!!

I've had mine for exactly a month today. I hate to admit the miles, 250, damn work/travel just has to get in the way of having fun! So far (knocking on wood), no issues, well except for dealer prep. Sprayed that damn tire wet all over the rims, was like a thin layer of axel grease, took me two hours to get that crap out of all the nooks and crannies.

Really nice thread! I agree with you guys. I've had mine since October 2015. No squeaks, no issues so far. (Knock on wood) no squeak or unexplained buzzes.

I did have a slight squeak that was more of a buzz that sounded like a speaker was blown. It wasn't present all the time and took me a month to diagnose it.

I found out by sound hunting when it started again. I thought it was the driver side top door speaker. Then the door trim. I finally found it. The left side dash vent is loose when opened all the way to the left. If I keep it closed, all the way to the right, no problem. When it's open to the the left, it will vibrate with heavy bass.

I don't know how to explain that to the dealer. I'm not sure what the fix would be other than putting a new 'dash vent' in.

Other than that really minor issue, I love my car too. It is the best car I have ever driven. I had both an Audi and BMW. This stang beats them in my mind. the GT drives nice and well mannered until I push the gas pedal more than halfway down, then things begin to move quickly. Unbelievable power when wanted. Each time I install an aftermarket component, it just gets better.

I love mine as well.... but it has issues lol. I fixed the panel alignment stuff myself, re sealed the leaking fogs myself, but my tranny is ummmm not so happy and it has some AC issues..... AND I still love my car. Goes into the dealer soon to get some of the stuff fixed. Glad you got a great 1!!

I think somewhere on the Internet you can find the same exact post from me! Only 53, so not quite the same 50 years of driving experience, but close. Ford hit a freaking home run with the S550.

I have been driving for 48 years. For me this the first car I enjoy as much as I do.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of getting my driver's license. I've owned six vehicles in that time, including the S550 I have now. It easily blows away the five others in terms of fun factor and driving enjoyment. My first car, a used 1990 Nissan 240sx 5-speed hatchback comes closest, but that's mostly because of "first car" nostalgia than anything else. I had really wanted a '93 GT, but my folks shut that down quick due to the cost of adding a 16-year-old with a V8 to their insurance. I love my Mustang more and more each day with no signs of ever stopping. Driving it anywhere, and I mean anywhere, is tons of fun.
