Not sure how my DWS06's are going to handle this when Stella is finally done making her dump.

lol

Around 9" on the ground so far, with about another 10" expected.

Just put DWS06's on my car last week because Chicago. Had Blizzaks on the other one I traded in 2 weeks ago. Got about 15 inches and some lake effect in the last 24 hors, DSW's handled that stuff. Not quite as good as the Blizzaks but to the point I wonder if I can get away with just the one set of tires. Lets see how a slightly worn set handles some snow.

Pretty much done snowing now, total stands at 18 1/2 ".

BTW, nice security camera setup.

Cool.

As long as the "S" is still visible in the tire, it should be good to go. But I'm also concerned that below that will cause it's snow performance to be drastically reduced.

We got under a foot here, but now everything is completely covered in a thick sheet of ice.

My dealer is telling me my car will be here this week. I think I'll wait till next week to go get it if so. :headbonk:

lol

The crew arrived at 1:30 am to clear the driveway. This time he brought along a second person with a snow blower, only took them a half hour.

They got a nice tip$$!

Spring is just around the corner ...

As a Floridian, I am amazed that you guys drive Mustangs in snow. It *snowed* (apparently it was just sleet or "slushy mix" according to the northern snobs) here in a freak winter storm in 14. Just driving my Mustang in my neighborhood was almost impossible, it slid around and bounced off of the curbs as my summer tires were basically turned into hard plastic. I walked that day, and my feet bled since the only shoes I own are well-ventilated running and hiking shoes, and my only gloves were Mechanix gloves. Basically completely unprepared in all aspects - except for copious amounts of bourbon.
Oh forget about it in summer tires. I have my '03 4x4 Explorer I picked up for what I'd have paid buying a round of snow tires, some extra rims, and tpms sensors to go on the whole rig. And I'm glad I did it. Having 4x4 and the prior owner put some A/T tires on it that still look pretty damn good, I was unstoppable this winter. I've made do in my '06 GT for 3 years out here in this state in the winter, but I didn't have the summer tires on it that my '16 GT PP has. Just simple all-seasons and I got by. You just have to get used to the dynamic of RWD in the snow, and be sensible and careful and you can do it. First winter out here was definitely a learning experience though. But in this car now, on summer tires? Forget it. We had a decently clear day over the winter and I just got an itch and said screw it, roads are clear. It's been a couple days so I'm sure the salt water is mostly dried up so I'm not too worried there...I'm getting in the goddamn mustang today! I turned down a street that the plows must've forgot haha. At least for their salt, it looked like all the plows really accomplished was to get a nice surface of packed down snow smoothed out. I was all squirrely and all over the place in 1st, then 2nd...and yeah. Got a taste of what it'd be like and reaffirmed my decision to go with the winter beater if I wasn't gonna get rid of my summer tires for the season lol.

My google photos 'stylized' this photo for me. Looks pretty cool
Scary and gloomy, all at the same time. lol

Well, I wasn't out driving in the storm as it was coming down. When I went out the next day, the main roads were well plowed.

But on the side streets where there still was snow covered ground, I just put it in Snow Mode, took my time, and got around AOK.

I hate you people from Florida and your warm sunny winters....especially since I lived there until a few years ago and decided for some unknown brain dead reason to move back up north into the mountains.....:headbonk:

Well, at least during the Summer we don't usually find ourselves running from one AC environment to another!
