Small Problem

Feel a bit silly starting a new thread for this but anyway...

Noticed my driver side puddle lamp image looked a bit weird today, don't know how the hell it got like this. Anyone else seen the same issue?

Not sure what to do other than flag it with the dealership. Dont want to just leave it.

Check the vinyl under the lamp where the light comes out from, it might be scratched on the template, could have been a stone etc. Just guessing, never looked that close at that light!

Thanks mate, will have a proper check when i get the chance. There is a clear plastic cover over them lamp, i couldnt actually see the template when the light was shining through but it all seemed in tact - strange!

Congratulations on the build btw - just seen ur signature. Remember finding out mine had been built - great feeling! not long now!

Post on the main forum to see if anyone else has had this. If it's an easy fix to replace the unit, it might be easiest to ask the dealer to send a replacement. Saves a trip to the garage and all the associated hassles.

Feeling the pain of build quality myself at the moment. My rear side marker is being held on by insulation tape until replacement arrives (it arrived with only one clip) and the rear camera module/trim is now falling away. You can see the beginnings of it in the pic below (it's worse now) The white bit appears to be adhesive tape....

Got a response from my dealer pretty quickly

"I have spoken with my service department who understand how these things work much better than I do. They are confident it is the lens that is faulty. We will get this part ordered today (it should be here in 1 or 2 weeks). Once it is here they will contact you to arrange for the car to come in to replace that part.

It is all covered under the warranty so there will be nothing to pay."

As Drewo, above, posted, this is not an uncommon issue in the US. However, you may well be the first in the UK so, er, congratulation

Hope the dealer gets the part replaced without hassle
