2020 gt automatic with 4200 miles. Active exhaust with Ford X Pipe. No aftermarket parts.
When I am stationary or going a slow speed and I turn my steering wheel to the right, I hear a slight groaning / whining noise in the steering column. I had someone stand outside the vehicle, and they did not hear anything. No power loss in the steering wheel either.
It does not make the noise when I turn the steering wheel to the left.
I had my first service the other day at the dealership. The tech said he had the vehicle on the lift and it did not make any noise. I'm not sure why the tech did not test the vehicle on the ground when there is resistance?
Any suggestions on what is causing it? Before I bring it back to them or another Ford dealer, I want to have an idea on what to have them look for.
Thanks!
