I need to look into that 'virtual c/c' thing; it'd be the only way I'd do it. I've never dealt with SXM directly, since I've never renewed any subscription; that's why I said 'my brother'. He subscribed to have it on his new Harley Street Glide staying in my house when it expired, and since the bike basically just sat in my garage, told him to cancel it, and it took him 2 months of trying until he finally could cancel it. Why the heck they don't allow to do that online is a rip off IMO.

I do understand your point. I've never had any problem getting through on the phone or via chat on their website. I do agree, they should allow you to cancel via your online account.

And worse of all, they force you to give a c/c, which they'll start billing immediately if you forget to cancel... and you can't do that online, so be ready to spend hours trying to get somebody on the phone, like it happened to my brother. So guess will pass on that, unless somebody posts not having issues with cancelling.
I never had to wait more than a few minutes to talk with a "cancellation specialist" at Sirius. They are the ones empowered to negotiate, like if you request to renew at only the promotional $60/year rate.

As to remembering to call .. I put it onto my Google Calendar, as long with such things like annual state inspections. Though, lately, I have been getting a reminder "bill" in the mail (USPS mail) from Sirius when the time is nearing.

Yea, I've noticed places like restaurants won't accept Visa or Master Card Gift cards either. When I have those, I use them online at places like Auto Zone, Amazon. Most banks will send you a virtual CC with the amount you want on it. Virtual CC and Gift Cards are two different things. Most virtual cards are sent via email from your bank.

They called me over the phone and I had to give them my actual CC... tried a Gift card I had lying around and no dice..

I have a Sirius XM subscription for my Explorer. I think I paid a few dollars extra for the app, but with the app, I can send it to my Alexa, my Bose speaker, or (most important) to the Mustang thru Apple Car Play, all at no cost. One of the benefits of receiving thru Apple Car Play is that there's a setting on my I Phone, in the Sirius app, that you can set so every song starts from the beginning. It took my a long time to figure out that it wasn't just a coincidence ( OK, I'm not that bright) but it also pauses the song when you take a phone call. It's still not as handy as the real Sirius setup because you can only have so many favorites at one time, and after that you have to manually go to the app and select station. Not good while driving.

So it does appear that $60 plus taxes and fees are good for the All Access Package.
Well I stand corrected! That's a hell of a deal for the consumer. Probably not that great for Sirius/XM. For years I tried getting cheaper than $99 for All Access and they wouldn't budge. No one could get it lower on their forums either. I guess Covid may have thrown them a curve as well.

Oddly enough my Accord was picked up today so it's official: I don't even own a vehicle. First time since my teens. My Sirius/XM subscription renews on Sept. 1, so this is pretty good timing. It is strange though since for the first time in 14 years, I won't be subscribing to them. I first subscribed in 2006 when they had a deal on their portable carry radio that was bigger than a Sony Walkman ha! I am sure all of their new offers will come in the mail and email so will be looking out for this $60/All Access. Just to see if it's their new standard deal. I have no use for it until I get a new car.

My $900 electric scooter should be here by the weekend. A REAL ride haha!

Yeah I knew some credit card companies do it...
Do you use a major bank? Curious to see who offers it...?

Everyone should remember that you might have previously agreed to a contract that includes a automatic renewal clause. Giving them a "bad" CC number doesn't relieve you of those contractual requirements. It might become an unpaid debt, be reported to the credit bureaus, and subject to collection. It all depends on how hasty Sirius wants to be.

If you want to cancel (not renew), simply following the given procedures to do that, would be best.

You are correct, though a virtual cc is a valid form of payment. Some people want to limit who they give their card number to, considering all the beaches that have hppened lately. Your last sentence is absolutely correct.

Won't get it either. Wife doesn't care and I can use the app in her car if I want.
