I'm going to give it a shot since I have one in the living room. It sets up to the home wifi to be able to stream from the phone. Hopefully it can feed of the phone hotspot if I enable it. We'll see. My unit should be here by 3pm and I'll start the install.

I use an iPhone. Would love to have the wireless option. I'd rather pay for that than the $40 for the Apple adapter. The less wires the better.
Nvmnd. See you are looking at a wireless option.

I actually just bought the micro usb to ligtnining adapter for $8 to see if it'll work with Moddiction's supplied cables for Android/Samsung. I'm not too optimistic it'll work but if it does I'll let everyone know.

If not, I'll just return it and buy the Apple HDMI adapter.
I've tried tried it on other devices. You'll need the Apple HDMI adapter. Save yourself the $8 bucks and cancel the order.

Yep, it worked at home where I had the Chromecast connected to my Wi-Fi but it didn't work on its own.
What I meant was turning your phone into a HOTSPOT. Your own personal wifi so other devices can connect to it and use your mobile data.

Oh no I haven't, but that should work I guess.
But I think people wouldn't like that options as it's a hassle when the adaptor only uses screen mirroring

I dunno, once you start adding levels to it, I'm thinking the HDMI to lightning option isn't so bad.

I'm debating on whether I should try leading the HDMI cable up through the center console, rather than the glove box; trying to think which would be easier/better to use.

Just depends on how much work you want to put into it. I think running it through the center console is a great idea. And since you'll have everything apart, that would be the time to do it.

This install video recommends loosening, then pulling the center console back, to free up the tabs at the bottom of the bezel, rather than trying to wiggle it free. If I go that route, not much trouble to lead the HDMI cable back.

This only works with a jail broken iPhone or Android devices with another 3rd party app installed. The Chromecast needs to be on the same wireless network as your phone, and by default your phone cannot be on its own hotspot.

Does Anyone know where can I get IGO NextGen?

Also, looking for WinCE 6.0 apps.
I appreciate any input.

Thanks
