Simplest stand alone engine management system for a 1996 Cobra?

Working on a 1996 Cobra with a single 76 turbo. The car was cheap but it's cobbled together. It does go good tho! Previous owner put a CPU out of a 1996 GT because he was running an auto. The car now has a Lenco converter-less.

The tune is rough and every check engine light is on in the car. I am thinking a stand alone system would make this car a lot better and allow us to take control. Don't need the absolute best, simple and easy are what we are looking for.

Also wouldn't mind getting rid of the Mass Air sensor, there is soooo much plumbing on this car.

Not sure what you are trying to accomplish - meaning do you want a system to piggy back the existing PCM, or do you want to rip everything out and have your own customized system...

There is the FAST EFI system as well, but not sure if it will hook up to the 4.6 - you can probably contact them to learn more:

Holley also has (2) systems for the Modular 4V 4.6 - but I’m not sure why they only list it for years 99-04... I would think these should work for the 96-98 DOHC 4V as well - but you may have to contact them:

Thanks for the info. We ended up ordering an AEM....looking to use it as stand alone. Just waiting on the harness.
