Thinking about a set of these also (would ask tire rack about the weights posted).

Anybody have experience with any of the other Advanti wheels?

I checked it online, mostly bimmer and lexus owners. They have nothing but good reviews. I also found the weight of 19 by 9.5's on another website and they are 22.5 lbs :) Loosing more than 40 lbs with these bad boys will be a pleasure.

Hi Guys,

I found some 19" Advanti Wheels for my PP GT and they only weigh 20 lbs each. My car is fully loaded except the ACC. The car weights 3815 lbs. The OEM PP Wheels are 33lbs each. The weight savings just from the wheels would be around 50 lbs. Loosing the suitcase would be a min of 20lbs weight saving. Ligtweight battery would be a 10 lbs weight saving. Junk in the trunk out would be 10 lbs. With half a tank of gas in the car the car would weight 3675 lbs. The race weight with me in it would be 3835 lbs. I think thats a really good number that i would like to reach before hitting the streets of willow this upcoming summer. Have any of you guys used Advanti Wheels before? Are they reliable? Thanks. :headbang:
So in terms of loosing the suitcase, what exactly would you be doing and what would it do to the car (other then weight savings)...would it modify the exhaust note of the GT?

It most certainly changes the exhaust note. There are several threads on here with sound clips of cars that have that piece removed. It's the way the car should have sounded from factory!
