Yeah i noticed that as well, makes it really difficult to post photos now due to the size restrictions & the size of phone photos. Took me about half and hour of messing about last night on my iPad, gave up in the end and had to turn my PC on.
I use an app, called iresize,

Just back, was an awesome experience! Despite me thinking I would take it easy I have to apologise as I did a lot of overtaking (safely), I lapped one car three times... Topped 130mph on the Hangar Straight which was nice. Pushed until she slipped sideways on most corners, just to learn the limits and hit the rev limiter a couple of times... I figured over 20 laps and 50 miles on track by my trip computer. Used most of a full tank!

Figured it was a one off opportunity to rag it at Silverstone in my car and I opted to spend ÂŁ200 on track day insurance so felt a little braver. Having said that the track is so wide and it was nice and dry for me. Didn't get closer then a safe distance from any other car.

On a side note, my instructor was excellent, really encouraged me to explore the limits and find the best lines and improve each lap. Former pace car driver for F1. I noticed a few others did a switch and let the instructor drive? Pleased I didn't in the end.

Good to meet some of the folk from here too!

Just back from the Silverstone track day with my Mustang GT still on one piece.

I booked on the 10:15 session but tactically arrived early enough for the 09:15 session. It was the International circuit being the southern half of the Grand Prix circuit using the Grand Prix grid and the Grand Prix pits.

Only 5 of us in my session and I only saw one other car on track so it was as if whole track to myself. It was bright but the track was wet. The instructor ragged a sighting lap in my car and he's not driven a Mustang until then and then it was my turn. I explained I was more interested in sideways as opposed to top speed.

I gave a good account of myself for a beginner and I was pleased it was wet with good visibility as I wanted to find the wet limits which I did a few times getting completely sideways but perfectly safe as it was in the section that joins the 2 tracks so lots tarmac in every direction and no one else on track.

The concentration began to overwhelm me so we came in and the instructor did another extra ragged sighting lap showing me how to get even more sideways in my car so it was a relief to get back in the drivers seat of my car so I could give it another go. This time I was able to use a lot of power out of corners and keep on top of it.

Big thank you to my instructor Josh.

Afterwards I watched the 4th and last 11:15 session which had more than 15 cars and unfortunately the expected sunshine turned to heavy rain and I was thankful that I was not one of them going down the straight together nose to tail and braking hard for Abbey. In the wet a few got sideways out of Club onto the Pit Straight and were looking at the pit wall and without the extra tarmac to keep them safe. Real brown trouser moments but ne damage done as far as I know.

Great to meet stevec, Aero, Centurion07, CapitanPug and sorry if I don't mention someone.

Oh no. Dare I ask?!
Yes, I was THAT guy (not the only one!) that didn't bring his licence. Or knows his NI number.

Had to phone my insurance co for the number, then Silverstone phoned the DVLA who asked me security questions to give them permission to share my licence info with Silverstone.

Was brilliant, was quickest car out there by a considerable margin and the instructor was asking what the hell I'd done to it as it pulled harder and had far better balance than the others he drove earlier.

When a racing driver loves your car, you know you done good! I also got some footage, I think I lapped one car 5 times, but it was great, no near misses or accident I drove within my limits, the cars was higher. :)

So, i'llg ive you my quick run down, i'm about to write up the full day and let you guys put your pictures on it:

It was raining, thank god for that, And i was in an Ecoboost, a manual mind you (sport on lap 5).

Got in my car, a Ruby Red, Ecoboost Convertible Automatic... And couldn't find how to work the wipers... Doh! Sussed it eventually. (Different to the corsa - obviously, more gizmo's in the Mustang)

I'd spoken to my instructor before hand, and discussed what i currently drove etc, he took me out for two laps explaining the corners etc, breaking points so on and so forth, also letting the car get heated up.

Once I got in the car, he kept pushing me, which was brilliant, taking me, and the car, to it's limits, and, well, forcing it over it's limits to show me just how easily in wet conditions the car will skid. - By god does it skid, it'll throw itself around like a child does with it's toys... We got to Village, and he told me to hit the accelerator hard on the corner (This was my 2nd Lap!!!) I skidded like a Mofo, left right etc, something i've personally never experienced, and it's incredibly eye-opening just how easily that rear end will go.

The car itself is INCREDIBLE, coming out of corners and down straights, I max speed'd what looked like 123MPH (IN THE ECOBOOST!!!!) down Hangar, literally fed it power straight from the corner.

The lessons my instructor, appolgies forgot his name, taught me, i'll take with me when I begin driving my car, such as weight distribution the 'String' between the wheel and the pedal, feeding power etc. A rear wheel drive is SO much different to a FWD/AWD that i'm used to.

Over the course of my 45minutes, the weather went from wet and windy, to windy, to drizzling, and then dried up pretty quickly.

Once we'd done the tracking, I parked the car i'd used up (Thanks again Karen for sorting that out!!!) and did a tour of silverstone, which, being an F1 fan, and my missus being an even bigger one, was great for the both of us, especially as we got to go onto the make shift podium and hold the trophy up yes yes, i'm a kid, let me have my excitement.

The amount of Mustangs there, was incredible, there must have easily been over 50! And i've finally put some faces to the forum guys! And for others (@CaptainPug Centurion07 seen their cars in person, elusive!)

Okay, off to make the forum thread :)
