It'll keep changing until the day, I hope it isn't pissing it down the whole day, that'd be awful!:frusty:

Keeping fingers crossed it is dry otherwise on those Pzero's I shall be driving around the circuit in full on wet mode and taking it with great caution. I have zero confidence in wet conditions on the Pzero's, I just can't get along with those tyres in the wet. :(

Hoping Ford have a professional photographer on hand for the event be great to get some professional photos of the cars. :)

With the temperatures already being low and track temperatures being low as well because of cloud cover, the track will be a little slippery on the P Zeros regardless of rain. Rain is forecast for 13:00pm for a couple of hours, which is after the sessions finish but temperatures are sitting at 7-8 degrees for the sessions.

In dry I find them fine, even when its around 2-4c I can get plenty of heat into them with them being a low treadwear tyre they heat up quite well and grip well and are predictable in the dry. In fact I really enjoy the car in the dry because since fitting the uprated ARBs from Ford I get a little initial understeer but I can simply apply more steering lock or just throw the car into the corner hard and the front bites and the rear stays put, hugely confidence inspiring since fitting uprated ARB's from Ford both front and rear set to softest setting.

I just find Pzero's lacking in confidence in wet conditions with un-predictable grip, definetely not the car as had exactly same issue on the 911 with Pzero's, as soon as I changed to Michelin PS2 and MPSS I could push the car as hard in the wet as I could dry due to how much more confident inspiring Michelins are in wet conditions. :)

The words "Ford" and "Professional" aren't 2 words I would use together.

Just got my invite from Stacey. Car's not delivered yet - although has been with the dealer for about two weeks now. I have let her know.

I'm still struggling to come to terms with the fact that you have to use your own car!

I shall probably get a days worth of trackday insurance and wobble round for a couple of laps, I have no intention of over-stressing my own car.

The weather forecast will probably change on an hourly basis - so couple that with Silverstone's micro-climate and it's anyone's guess what the weather will be doing. It can easily be sunny over the entire surrounding area, but be peeing down at the circuit - or vice versa. Take your pac-a-mac and sun cream! :D

I'll be arriving at the earliest slot. Just had the official invite by Stacey. I'll be driving the track at 9 in a fleet/demo car.

Been told by Nigel the event organiser that there's a session from 18:30-20:30 where there will be performance and heritage cars and UK ford directors there (I won't be at this later meeting).

Silverstone looks dryish for the morning at the moment so can't complain too much! Other than my hatred for early mornings but I'm sure the excitement will keep me up for it lol!

Look forward to seeing some of you there, I'll probably hang around until 12 and then head off . Unless rain comes before then, then I'm bolting :bolt: lol!

I'll bring the DSLR and my Phone. Mind you I'm by no means a good photographer. I'll get some pictures of the mustangs and keep a thread live for you all who can't attend or who's wives friends and s/o's are riding shotgun.

Well they state 40-45 minutes track time, if this is one session that is actually really harsh for any road car. I recommend 15-20 minutes maximum for a road car on a track day as the car will become hot and the driver tired.

So if they are staying out for a full 40-45 minutes be sure to have some pootling laps in between the faster ones to keep the car cooled.

Hopefully it will be two 20 minute sessions and remember build your speed slowly, do not just go out full throttle on cold tyres, it will end on the grass, upside down or in a wall.

Will try and remember being the first driver of the day. I've got an ecoboost demo being handed to me for the day. I'm hopeful of a manual [emoji110]. But regardless, I don't care because I'll be on Silverstone in a Mustang [emoji41] [emoji41].

See you lads there! McDonald's 5mins up the road for anyone who wants to have a mustang drive through (+ corsa) lol!
