Hi All,

Anyone had an issue with the plastic fasteners on the side skirts? Car developed a rattle on the left hand side (sounds like it's coming from behind the dash at speeds over 65mph) and noticed the front part of the side skirt is loose. Some of the plastic fasteners are loose and they don't appear to be the screw in type, more like a plug, so I suspect the plastic ends have snapped when being fitted.

Regards
Andy

Which ones, are you talking the ones in the arch liner or the ones at the bottom? If the bottom these are christmas tree clips, they're quite large (about 1-1.5inch in shaft length)

I mean the side skirt, the plastic skirt which runs down the side of the car, the bit between the wheels:

Try pushing them in further. They are like fir trees as Manders said. If they don’t grip, you’ll need to get new ones. They are available on eBay.

Cheers Nige - I've tried pushing them in but they pop out. Suspect the plastic ends might be broken on one side.

Have you got a link to them on eBay? I've never used that website before!

Try something like this.

I've got some 2 part clips (like those that hold the rad cover in, but larger) in my side skirts because they're "less prone to failure" (Fur tree ones after you remove a few times go a bit shitty)
