what kind of tint is everyone getting? ceramic, carbon, non-metalized? I want to get some installed this weekend, but the shops are saying I need $300+ tint to work with the TPMS.

I've never heard of tints interfering with the signal. I had 5% ceramics on my 2011 and had zero problems with the sensors, but hey what do I know, maybe they do cause an issue. I am getting my tints installed on Saturday, 5% all the way around, will probably do 50% or darker on the front windshield but I am not sure yet. As the Op said, spare me the illegal, blah, blah, and dangerous at night. I am a Police officer in New Orleans, and they tend not to like cops much down here.

Ceramic tint is a very high quality tint that wont interfere with GPS, Radio and TPMS. Cheap tint is metallic and can interfere. The brand I got was Forumula 1 Pinnacle Ceramic Tint. Paid $300 for it, well worth it. Comes with a lifetime warranty.

Perfectly fine- I've always tinted my vehicles at least this dark if not darker; had 5% all the way around on my Bronco and run 13% on our Audi
