Should this hose be touching? Whipple S2

Current: '19 Mustang GT base 6spd (SOLD),'19 Camaro 1SS A10, '14 VW Jetta SE 1.8
I looked under my hood and noticed this rubber hose cover coming from the Whipple coolant reservoir is touching (as in making contact) the side of the engine.

I'm sure it's been like this since I bought the car with Whipple installed 8 months ago. But I'm thinking this is not an optimal thing?

That hose should be routed downward.
I had to shorten mine a little to avoid clashing.
