Went to pick up my refund cheque yesterday, and noticed it was short $80 (some kind of documentation fee), even though the general manager had promised that he would give me a FULL refund.

Got enraged, and went into the GM's office and asked him about it and he told me "well our policy is that we don't refund that fee." ..... When I pressed him harder, and reminded him that he had literally given me his promise, he told me to get out of his office.

So I did the only thing I thought of.....There were about 80 people in the dealership total, from customers to salespeople and I yelled out at FULL VOLUME about how the manager is not honouring his word and I was lied to. I told everybody to not buy a car there. (Went on for a good 5minutes, I'm a very LOUD person LOL) ......They quickly escorted me out the building and threatened to call police.

After a bit, the GM came out to see me and told me he would fix the situation and give me my $80, but told me that I had to yell out again, saying that he was an honourable man and fixed my problem.....I told him I would only do that if I had the check in my hand.

So finally, they gave me a second $80 cheque and I reluctantly screamed some crap to kiss the GM's ass. Then as soon as I left the dealership, I left them a 1-star review on google maps.

Was funny because about 40% of all the customers left the dealership after my speech.

"Cries tears of happiness" Proud of you my boy "Tears coming down my face". There are many more things to learn in this world and the gods of mustang6G will guide you on your next endeavor as long as you ask and more importantly listen. LOL Seriously, glad you stuck one to them. Dealerships are crooks!

All over an Ecoboost Mustang, shame. I can only imagine the games that they play with the more expensive vehicles

Video or it didnā€™t happen. Only kidding, good for you.

By the way, reminded me of this.

80 people in a dealership? During lockdown protocols because of COVID? That doesn't pass the smell test.

lordy, man how old are you? 21? Maybe I'm just a ball-less wimp but if only had to pay $80 to get out of a screwup on my part (buying a questionable car) I'd walk away as a learning exercise and hassle fee for unwinding the deal. Granted there is no excuse for not honoring their word...

And the 80 included all stall and customers.

Glad to see that it all worked out for you in the end. Funny how those guys will be willing to lie cheat and steal for a miserable $80. Even if it's only $80 Canadian, LOL.

Hopefully you've learned from this. I've bought a couple of cars remotely from dealers, and both cars disappointed me (they were both shipped). I've also bought a few from individuals, remotely, and generally those worked out well. Just sayin'...
