Should I change to colder plugs?

They have about 3,500 miles on them with the 93 BAMA tune. I'm no mechanic but from reading a lot online seems like that many threads shouldn't be black. Appreciate any feedback.

That looks like carbon build up due to the tune running rich. Colder plugs would do the same thing, just needs a leaner tune to get rid of that carbon build up.
