So will the combination of the Steeda short throw shifter and transmission mount bushing do the trick? At a minimum, what should be upgraded at the time of install while things are apart? Thanks!

This is the setup I just did (except I ended up with a 1st gen tri+ax street shifter) and I'd say its a pretty decent improvement. I feel like the majority of the improvement came from the transmission mount bushing. The 1st gen shifter isn't much of an improvement over the stock shifter. It also rattles against the shift boot, which the 2nd gen fixed.

Brandon - how do you like the Tri-Ax thus far?
I freaking love it. It's comfortable, shifts are great and positive, and I've had zero issues.

Recently I installed an Anarchy Motive shift knob. The extra weight on the knob made the centering of the Tri-Ax unit somewhat less positive, and I was very glad for the top-mounted spring change. I simply popped off the center console and changed to the stiffer springs Steeda included in the package, and was off to the races. (Well, literally off to the races, as I then went to a track day.)

I absolutely love the Tri-Ax. No regrets.

That is awesome feedback - when you Design, Engineer, Manufacture & Test the products ... you can help prepare for what the market wants - glad you were able to the change-out the springs to make it work!

Best Regards,

TJ

Yep!

In addition to my day job I actually own a small fabrication company. I love it when the little things I sell are well received; it means I did my job during design, testing, and manufacturing.

Much of the time I sell my products at just above a break-even point so I can simply share cool stuff with the community. It's a good feeling.
