Short/Long Block Replacement Owners

Hello,

Just some quick questions for those that have had short or long block replacements done on their 5.0s during warranty:

1) Are you happy with the result?
2) Did it fix the issue?
3) Did it affect resale or trade in value afterwards?
4) Would you do it again or would you rather have dumped the car and taken the loss right there and then?

Original block was eating a lot of oil. Then I noticed the tick before the forst oil change.

Got new block. Verified no tick under all driving conditions. Thinking bad oil could be the cause, changed dealer oil for good one soon. Before I exited oul change ramps the engine was ticking again.

Got new block. Verified no tick under all driving conditions. Thinking it could start ticking again added ceratec.

New block does not eat oil unlike original, so this makes me happy.
