I had the short block replaced in my 2018 mustang GT with 23k miles. Ford replaced the short block due to a rod knocking. My service advisor told me to drive it how I want and there is no break in period. What would y’all recommend?

Drive it how you wish, change the oil at 500 miles. Done.

Had the same stuff done. I was told the same thing. When mine was replaced my mech said they did the break in so i could drive it normal right away.

if possible, break it in on a road course.

Break it in how you intend to normally drive it, after fully warming it up.

Yeah, just wait until the oil is fully warmed, then drive it like you stole it.

I'm just assuming that's how you normally drive. :cwl:
