On my test drive I noticed the GT I drove did not have the fang lower grille, only the upper. I thought it maybe had ACC, but it turns out when you get a GT with a block heater, it changes the lower grille. Does anyone here have a car with a block heater? Is the cord hidden on the left or right side of the lower grille, and one side of the grille opens up to access the cord? That's what it looks like in the build and price, but it's hard to tell exactly. I really don't want to lose out the lower fang grille, but I also think it would be foolish to not spend $150 for a block heater when it sometimes hits -40 Celsius here...

My thoughts are maybe seeing if the dealer can special order with a block heater and keep the lower fang grille, and route the cord elsewhere if this is the case...

Block heaters were a mandatory no cost std option on both my 2004 & my 2011 Mustangs and was the case for all Mustangs (possibly all Fords) delivered in the state of Wisconsin ... guessing this is still the case for 2015.

Never used the one on the '04 (6 winters at 400 miles a week), and can't use the one on the '11 because I zip tied it behind the grill as this looks much better than the cord sticking out of the lower grill !!

I'd guess block heaters are a mandatory / no cost option in Canada too.

Yes, this is correct. Any dealer for any brand which actually installs block heaters will have them installed in every instance - unless special ordered. I will still opt for one, but I really want that lower fang grille. I know the factory may not be as accommodating for this. Worst case I'd have to order a new lower grille if it's just bolted onto the back of the bumper and swap it.

I looked at this one last night (in Wisconsin) and you can see the cord sticking through the lower grille
