We absolutely would have loved to ordered a R, if it came with a backseat. I promised the wife I would never spend(significant)money on a depreciating assest if the whole family (wife/son/myself) could not enjoy it together. We have been taking family Sunday cruises since my little guy was two years old.
Don’t know how tall you and the Mrs are but the back seat room is pretty much useless anyways.
If I ever came across a rear seat delete kit and had time on my hands, I’d probably take out the back seats.
Iā€˜ve even kicked around ideas of a custom delete with a fold down trunk access. I’d be more likely to haul something that wouldn’t fit in the trunk without dropping the seats than having a third passenger.
My original idea was to travel in this car with two small dogs....I’ve since nixed that idea.

I am fun sized (5'7") and the wife is too (5'3) our son is fighting genetics, 12 years old and (5'0) but his granddad is 6'5 lol. We would only take short rides through the NV desert together. I have been stuffing lil guy in dads hot rods since he was in a Recaro child seat lol.

All this being said......... She has arrived!!! posted this in a new thread too!! Thank all you guys for your help. I have sent my check list over to the dealer and I am working on quotes from all the transport companies suggested.

Well despite Ford saying they would not build Mustangs with Cup tires during the winter, mine was built on 12/4 and is suppose to be at my dealer Dec 27th/Jan 2nd. My dealer is in Georgia and my garage is in Virginia. From stalking the other threads it looks like I should do at minimum two things. 1.) Have someone inspect the vehicle when it arrives at the dealer. 2.) Have the Shelby shipped via enclosed trailer. So my question to you guys is...... Does anyone live near Chatsworth GA that could inspect my Shelby?...... and ........ What company would you guys recommend for having the Shelby shipped? Oh..... one last question, should I have the front splitter left in the box and the shipping blocks kept in? I appreciate any response, and I did try to research these items on the forum before asking.
Ryan, I hope that your HEP GT350 is getting close to arriving at your dealership in Georgia after which time you may have this very cool car in your garage in early 2021.:thumbsup:

With respect to transporting your car I would definitely have it shipped in an enclosed car trailer and as other members have mentioned Intercity Lines is a well known enclosed car carrier but have never used them personally.

With early January becoming the launch of numerous internet and live car auctions in Arizona and California I suggest that it may be somewhat difficult to line up an enclosed car carrier unless you already have a confirmed date for your to be picked up?

In addition to Intercity Lines I suggest that you reach out to Reliable Carriers which is by far the largest enclosed car carrier in America but some other much smaller carriers are people such as McCollister's Transport, Horseless Carriage and one of my favorites being Passport Transport who I have used a great deal over the last ~15 years and provide a terrific service at a reasonable price.

Good luck!

She is home, transport company was amazing, dealer experience was "best ever" and the car is perfect. I will have a small write up and some thank you's coming.

Ya I noticed that right away in your last photo. Sometimes the lack of QC is unbelievable! I'd contact the selling dealer and let them know. If it was a straight up R plaque, it would be an "LR" instead of LO. I've never seen just the top portion wrong like that.

Ryan, it looks to me that your car arrived somewhat earlier than you had planned so that is a good thing and happy that your transporter did a good job for you!

If my calculations are correct your HEP GT350 was approximately the 65th last 2020 HEP car produced with my calculations based on what I can tell from total production numbers for the HEP cars.

I have seen some strange deals over the years with yours being one of them with respect to your HEP GT350 chassis badge having a Blue "R" at the very end on the top line of the chassis badge when in fact it is not an R model at all.

If it was me I would get your dealership to get a correct chassis badge for your car but would certainly leave the original and incorrect chassis badge on your car as is.

What a cool conversation piece and suggest that you may have the only Base HEP GT350 with an "R" on the chassis badge.

Obviously someone at the FRAP who assigns and allocates these chassis badges was either asleep at the wheel or him or her ran out of the regular chassis badges for that particular day and decided to proceed with what you got but would suggest that someone just got it wrong right from the start.

On a similar note I believe that there were 2 early HEP R models that came with chassis badges that had an "R" on the plate which of course if correct but these 2 cars had a Black R instead of a Blue R on the chassis plate and if I recall correctly those 2 cars were LR003 and LR021.

Keep us posted on what you do here but again if it was me I would keep your incorrect chassis badge in place since it came from the FRAP that way.

^ this

Years ago a few SVT cobras were documented to have wrong window stickers, wrong features, etc.

Like a 96 coupe having a convertible top symbol switch instead of a fog light symbol switch.

Or a 93 cobra having the optional ā€œpremium sound systemā€ on the window sticker but Ford cancelled that option at the last minute.

Or even my 2000R window sticker saying leather seats and 5 speed transmission, when in fact they are cloth recaros and a 6 speed.

Get the correct badge from your dealer or Ford performance, and put it away in the glove box or somewhere safe.
