Shipping from the us any cheaper ways

An example of how we're being ripped off.....:frusty:

Bought 3x10amp fuses from local dealer.....£5 quid ish...

Looked on eBay, could buy a complete set (5 of every type and rating) so total 55 fuses.... £19 quid......but they wanted another £20 quid to ship:(

My wife asked her friend to buy and ship.....

And here is the result....



So if shipping actually cost $13.50...... Why do they need to charge $30+:shrug::shrug:

when I shipped a new deck lid to a member on here, I looked for the cheapest insured shipping available.......

It seems USA vendors just think of a number, double it, add $20 for good measure.....+50% on top as icing on the cake.....

Delivery charges bear no resemblance to the item being posted:rant::rant:

$90 dollars for 2 bolts, 2 washers, and 2 nuts from BMR being A prime example of this nonsense:(:shrug:

I have been looking at the various forwarder's sites.
looking at the shipping costs but I am just guessing at the weight of an exhaust.
Does anybody know approximate weight of an exhaust ?

$300 for my Magnaflow exhaust from Lethal with FedEx to Dubai. UK rate would probably be similar. Not sure of the weight but I reckon the dimensional charges would have been more than the actual weight charge. Box dimensions were 12"x14"x52" if that helps.
