Yeah thats what i said as well, wasn't sure on the legality of heating a number plate up and bending it though. You know what our laws are like, it'll probably alter the spacing of the letters by a couple of microns.
Nothing here about plate curve! ;).

Hope you get your paint sorted mate. Look forward to the pics.

Congrats! - Fantastic to be one of the first 2015 Mustang owners in the UK.

Good eye on spotting the defect. Slightly disappointing, but short of waiting 6 months for another car, not much you can do except let the dealer do the warranty repair. I'm sure you won't be the only one with a QC or damage issue.

Thanks for posting the plate holder images. I think I'll go sticky pads route for both front and back.

Also wouldn't mind keeping my 'Ku Klux Kar Kover' but I'm not entirely sure why I want it!

mine turned up last Friday
the dealer sales manager will have the UCL pack box in his office so it don't get nicked
your badge is in with the UCL pack box including some more goodies and a signed letter from bill ford
and yes , it is a very nice plaque that replaces the standard one
no, its not just a bit of plastic like the rumours on this forum
and I for one feel I have something just a little more special with this badge that says it is one of an exclusive amount
mine was 188 of 500 and this is what it says on the plaque
I too took out the number plate mounts and kept the car cover

Checked the box mate, the letter is there but plaque isn't.

It's gone into the bodyshop this morning, work on it today, they're not sure if the whole bumper needs to be stripped and repainted because the paint damage is under the paint. Could be a day, possibly 3 days, also concerns over removing the bumper as they've never done it before and what happens if they snap a clip.

Either way the dealer is loaning me their Race Red V8 for the duration

I bent my plate to stick on with 3m and it's not much of a bend. Maybe 15 degrees or so

Great news on the car! Sorry to hear it appears to have some defects. I'm sure Ford will get it sorted for you. Good luck.

My dealer would probably loan me a Ford Ka  Could you please put some pics up of the Race Red V8 as that is the spec that I have ordered.

Big G, what size rear plate are you planning on putting on, standard (same as front), larger (like Jaguar/Rover)?

Here you go. We got a plate this morning and test fitted to the front, there's a bit of a bend but i think a few sticky pads will secure it ok. Maybe double stack at the sides to stop it bending so much. The dealer demo has the plastic mounts on and they look ridiculous, more so the front.

This is interesting pity not legal tho. The aluminum pressed plates could be useful allowing us to put a in a bend allowing better fit.
