I'm looking for Ford produced spec's on the Shaker Pro audio system I have in my GT Premium... Amps quantity, location, wattage, speaker locations, speaker types & sizes. Does anyone know where to find this? I did see the post here that shows the very basic info. Thank you

It's a good visual, but i want to get a list of the speaker types and sizes for each location as well as where the amps are, how many amps (I see one mounted to the back of the trunk sub) and amp wattage.

I read that the Shaker Pro uses a 8x1 Amp. So 8 speakers and 1 sub. I know the sub has it's own amp, so where is the one that drives the other 8 speakers. In the case of Shaker Pro, there are 12 speakers or 11.1. So, are there still 3 speakers that don't have a direct to the amp connection??

Am I correct in thinking there are 2 amplifiers? One for the sub and one for the rest of the speakers?

Where is the main receiver located? I doubt it's behind the LCD in the center stack...

Thank you.

Thanks for the replies, but now we're headed into upgrades.... Mross1973, are you saying there is only 1 amp and the unit behind the sub woofer is just a preamp? I would expect an amp that puts out 800+ watts would be a bit bigger than to fit behind the front air duct, the heat sink alone should be a good size...

Just re-posting my original set of questions.

Just pre amp I believe it's 75 watts the rest of your speakers just run off the head unit.

forgive me if I'm wrong, but I've never heard of a pre-amp putting that much wattage. They are usually line level to feed the main amp. If it's 75watts to the SUB, then isnt that an amp and not a pre-amp?

Your going to need 2 RCA line out spl to get more boost from your head unit to main speakers it will get it a better sound quality.

I can tell you right now that isn't accurate. There is one 1", 3" and 5.25" in each door, each rated @ 25W. There is no 5.5x7.5" or 8" in each door. In the rear deck there are two 25W coax speakers. There are no 10" subs in the trunk either, there is one 8" with a tiny Pioneer amp mounted on the housing and that's it.<br/>

The shaker has 12 speakers. Based on what I've found on fordparts.com and on other threads this is a speaker in the center of the dash, a tweeter in the a pillar, a 3 or 3.5 high up on the door, a 6.5 low on the door Mross above says these are 5.25, others have described them as 6.5 but maybe thats just because they were installing 6.5s), 6.5 coaxes on the rear shelf, and an 8" sub in an enclosure in the trunk. Ford is counting those two rear coax speakers as 4 in order to total 12. Ford list prices for each of those speakers is between $30-50 and the sub enclosure is $260. I'm not sure if real street prices are any lower than fordparts.com.
