Hey all,

First, My car has the shaker system but no sub in the trunk. Does anyone know what it costs for the sub upgrade? Could I buy one off ebay and is it pretty plug and play?

Second, Everytime I start my car it starts in normal drive mode. I prefer to drive around in sport drive mode. Is there any way to make it hold whatever drive mode I was last in and not default to "normal" everytime?

I believe I read that someone was researching if the subwoofer could be added to the regular Shaker system (Premium). He was looking for someone to give him their subwoofer to try. Not sure where that stands right now. If I recall, he did confirm that the wiring was there though and I think the amp is the same so that's a good sign.

As for the driving modes, no, you can't have it start in Sport. This was discussed elsewhere. Apparently it's a liability issue with manufacturer's so they need to make sure the car always starts in the "safest" mode, with all of the safety nannies engaged.

We have the same amp as the shaker pro, no idea on the wiring though I'm going to run my own.

In terms of sport mode, long story short no. It's "illegal"

Sorry to bring up an older thread, but was it ever confirmed if the OEM wiring harness was present in a GT Premium with Shaker? I'm too old to be crawling around in the trunk and would love to be able to just add this and plug it in.

Yea I was wondering to if it was a plug and play. I should have just gotten the 401a package. The 400a system is just ok. Nothing to brag about but I need a sub. I was also wondering if I can (shop) install my old amplified bazooka tube instead of a shaker sub.

I don't recall anyone confirming the harness was back there.

If it was, I'd get the sub off of ford parts (or second hand) immediately and plug it in as a stop gap before I get the whole system upgraded.

wish Ford sold factory upgrade plug and play kits. The "Mopar factory upgrade" in my charger, which included a higher power amp, kicker door / dash / rear deck speakers, and a 10" kicker sub sounded pretty dam good, all plug and play and could be purchased from many online retailers, ebay, etc
