My 350R order has been placed in Q for production under priority code 11, so it should be here shortly(2017 Black/Black Striping/Electronic pkg). I have been thinking about service work and have a few questions about the communities recommendation, to either having the ford dealership service the vehicle or do most of you have a private shop work on your car ? Even if the car is taken to a private work shop or you personally work on the car yourself, did people have the first 1000mile service accomplish by the dealership ? Any recommendation/thoughts are welcome, Thanks !

I'm also in Houston. My two cents: when it comes to things like oil changes I trust myself much more than a Ford dealer tech. I've got 500 miles on my R and will be doing the first change and probably every one after by myself. If I weren't comfortable I'd bring it to a reputable specialty shop like Swiss Garage, Eurocarwerk, etc.

I'm in Houston as well.

What date did you order the car?

I'll be doing the work myself, unless I sign up for a service contract and find a trusted mechanic at the Ford dealer. Odds are I'll be doing it myself.
