Not a problem when braking hard or even firm, but in traffic coming up to lights etc at slow speed and looking for a delicate/gentle brake application I find the initial touch on the peddle too sensitive and its all to easy to get a little too much brake, no real issue except it pisses me off. Anyone else have this? Any solution?

The solution is that you'll get used to it.

I had the same experience initially, smooth braking becomes second nature after a few days.

Have you driven it a lot? If not drive it more and you will get used to braking it in time.
Going from a Mustang to another car, I find myself having to hit on the brakes just a little bit harder lol.

I'm with Drew and the others, at first i found the same for the first few days now i don't notice it at all and it is fine, just another excuse to take it for a drive.

Yup, same. The brakes does feel very sensitive at first. Get used to it soon enough.

I love the brakes, it didn't take too long for me to adjust to them but now when I jump in a normal car I really feel how good our brembos are

Agree with the others, you WILL get used to it but I would still prefer a pedal that requires more effort.
Let's say that pedal "A" requires 5kg for a given retardation effort and pedal "B" requires 100kgs for the same result. Pedal B will be FAR easier to modulate when it's near the limits. I used to set the brakes on my karts to require max effort (I'd be pushing that hard that the pedal would frequently bend)
Hair triggers aren't the way to fast lap times, modulation and smooth progression is.
Unfortunately, Ford felt that despite the fact that your legs can easily carry you around all day, you should use about 1% of that effort to slow your car...

Having also raced in the past, I agree with you.

I have more of an issue with the accelerator though. Around town it is a bit too sensitive even in normal mode. In any other mode, it is like a light switch, either off or on.

Ironically Ford chose a slow steering ratio of 16:1. When I drove the car away from the dealership I felt like I was driving a barge. It is not so bad on the open road though.

All of the above would not be much of an issue if the Mustang was the only car I drove, however the car does take a bit of getting used to every time I drive it. But I am not complaining though; I love the car :)

Yeah I was head butting the the steering wheel for the first week , more effort on the pedal was what I was use to
