Senior S550 Owners Like Black Wheels?

58 years old, I like the black accents on the race red, but no to black wheels. These 19" wheels came on the car but was an additional option.

^^@Mike: Cheers Mate. Yeah, a fun ride that one, a pity it came with the fake scoop, but that will soon be rectified. Instead, I will revert to a stock AU 2015 hood, and fit TrackSpec louvres...only the two on the side, not the big center one ;)

Will probably be the look I am after at the end, plus be very functional in settling down under-hood pressures and temps. Just understated and clean, yet aggressive....

Wrt the side-scoops, Bjstang fitted some to his cars, have a look at that, should give you an idea of the end-result.

How much pressure drop and temperature reduction is the hood TrackSpec louvres.responsible for?

Hi Frank,
Not sure it has been tested, feedback from those on this forum having installed them though has been very positive. Guys have indicated no more hood-fluttering at speed, plus lower underhood temps.

Once done, I will feedback as well.

Sooo, I'm probably going to ignite a firestorm but here goes. Black wheels are OK but not a big fan. It's all the rage today to have a Black or VERY dark gray car with black wheels. To me it's getting kind of boring because every one has the same thing. That said, that combo looks great if the car and wheels are clean and with a brilliant shine. Usually not the case.

I was at a car wash. A guy had a Black Grand Cherokee with black after market wheels. His 17 yr. old son had a Toyota C-HR VERY dark gray with after market black wheels. MEH!!

Well, I say, what ever floats your boat but I still like a little bling!

Look at these. They are SVE Series 2. I actually saw a pair that were "ALL" polished Aluminum on a black Mustang and the whole package was stunning.

I'm 76. My Porsche has black wheels, my BMW has anthracite wheels, my Mustang has black and aluminum wheels. I think aluminum or chrome wheels are very outdated.

VERY nice. I almost bought those exact same ones after I saw them on a 6G Mustang at a car show. The car is black with a black 3" cowl Carbon Fibre hood. Suh-weet!!

Shelby cs1 wheels. Was thinking of putting the 20 inch premium wheels on it I found on CL for 400 bucks? Had the AM 20 inch pp style wheels.

Black wheels are not my favorite... no contrast between tire and wheel so they don’t photograph well. I have a spare set of PP1 wheels I my spray a gunmetal or have the face cut like these... Thoughts?
