Hell yeah. Had 7 spoke Appearance Package black wheels and now 19x10 SVE 350R wheels and I get ludicrous numbers of compliments every week.

OK, so there is no separate senior folder yet (and maybe there will never be), but this question is targeted at 50 and up owners. Do you like black wheels? It's fairly obvious they are more popular with the younger crowd.

I did not like them at all when they first became prevalent, but they have grown on me somewhat on cars in certain colors. (Mean look with magnetic.) Even so, I would only consider gloss black because you know when they're clean. Also, mesh style or any intricate spoke pattern seems pointless since it's difficult to see except up close. Black PP1 wheels come to mind. In most cases a charcoal or graphite will show the spoke pattern much better while still giving a darker look.

What do you think of them? :)
I’m 64 and do not like them. Reminds me of the time when hubcaps would fall off revealing the flat black wheel beneath. Looks cheap.

I think it depends on the car color and wheel style. Never had black wheels until I got my 2019 Bullitt. The green car with red brembos and black wheels is absolutely beautiful in my opinion. By the way I'm 68 years young.

I’m 69 and complete black wheels are not my first choice, though it depends on the car. I like part black with some polish for contrast.

My current vehicles (2016 Mustang GT/CS and 2019 Lexus NX300 F Sport) have black in the wheels but with some polish.

Chrome Wheels on previously owned 2007 Lexus GS350 and 1970 Mach I.

Younger crowd? I was rockin' black wheels on my modded Fiesta back in the '80s when these kids today were still poopin' in their diapers. :D

Seriously, I really liked them from seeing them on a lot of race cars in the '70s and '80s - Torque Thrusts, Fuchs, BBSs.

I love them on bright colors but I still prefer silver (not chrome) on darker colors.

Yeah, kinda like the current "patina" trend on classics. When I see a patina'd car I see an owner who is too cheap or too lazy to finish the job.

Just shy of 65, grew up in the Bling eara, so I still strugle weather to change out my PP Black rims, was looking at the Foose Outcasts. But I get so many positive comments on the look of the car, and I keep getting drawn back to the black as it looks so good with the Ruby Red! I keep waffling back and forth, I keep driving @Voo Doo Nuts, right @bjstang ..... lo...lo...

I'm 55, that means I'm old enough to remember when almost every car had painted steel wheels and chrome hubcaps. Later, hubcaps became plastic and "wheels" were either chrome or aluminum, steel wheels were painted silver so they wouldn't stand out. The early 80s saw "alloys" that were polished or brushed, sometimes with the center painted or anodized.
I've had chrome hubcaps, painted steel without hubcaps, plastic hubcaps, chrome wheels, painted alloy, brushed alloy, polished alloy with painted centers, etc. Gloss black is different, it's something I haven't had before, and as mentioned, it works well with Magnetic.
