What a Ford tech told me to do was disconnect the negative battery post and then place something on the brake pedal that will push the pedal far enough down to turn the brake lights on (if the battery was connected). Then leave everything alone for 30 minutes. I think that would do the same thing the guy in the video was doing, creating a closed circuit and bleeding off any remaining energy in the system.Anyone confirm if Forscan is necessary or if the battery method described by Jetscan above ,who is I think, a Ford tech works?
I needed to replace my battery a couple months ago and in just the time it took to swap them over my transmission reset. I can't believe how much better it shifts after changing the battery than how it shifted before.
