93 for me. Regardless, I will run the highest grade I can find when traveling once we again can. If one doesn't maximize the cars potential, why own it ?

An old guy who works at Sam's told me they have people that come in and check octane levels of their gas and that the regular has never tested less than 90 ! I paid an outrageous $1 more for 93 than regular at a Chevron station here in Florida. I would never do that again but I do like 93.

I only use artisanal hand crafted fuel made by local monks who meticulously crack the hydrocarbons and carefully select only the finest droplets of fuel, inspecting each one individually for clarity, odor, taste before packaging the fuel with a secret recipe of additives rumored to include virgins tears for maximum top end lubrication. The fuel is transported in hand crafted casks, each one individually numbered with a certificate of authenticity, inside of which the dirty nasty ordinary air is removed and replaced with pure nitrogen that has been filtered through a filter woven from unicorn hair to ensure the product reaches you as God intended.

I would agree with most that for the couple hundred bucks a year extra whats the harm and if you can't or won't pay the extra then no harm in using 87, the car won't explode, it'll still be fully warrantied and you will still have fun. Lets face it, how often will the extra HP really make the difference in normal driving. If you are racing or having fun with mates you'll spend far more in lost economy red lining it in every gear than 87 v 93 will ever cost you.

But for me knowing that if I do bury my foot and I am wanting everything the engine can give ( at any time - commuting, red light racing, doing pulls down the highway or just because), then the price difference is negligible versus my total cost of ownership, so what the hell, you only live once.
thats the funniest thing i have heard tonight, thanks for the fall off my chair laugh

Do you think you could send me some of that hand crafted fuel. I think my Sally would love it.

I'm sorry but the 666 page NDA forbids selling, redistributing, lending, or passing the fuel on in any form including but not limited to rubber containers ingested then excreted later, repackaging in coffee cans, the use of rubber tubes, a hand pump and liberal use of Vaseline (apparently the Vaseline melts the rubber tube) then squeezing hard and thinking of God and country etc etc

The guy who had me sign it seemed nice enough, awesome suit but the glowing red eyes and insistence on a blood sample followed by signing in red ink did seem slightly worrisome. But I'm sure it'll be fine, after all is not as though I hadn't already sold my soul for a Bullitt? emmmmmm..............

I think the name of that guy in the suit is Don Trump. The newly enacted USMCA trade agreement forbids the trade of these types of boutique fuel blends between Canada and the US. What a shame.

If E85 is an option for you I would go with that. Get an a gauge tune from Palm Beach Dyno and add E85 as your secondary fuel. It’s better for your engine too and you gain a significant amount of horsepower for a decent price.
