Without testing data, one will just have to assume the thicker and heavier chain is stronger. Who knows, testing could reveal that the OEM chain is superior. Example with motorcycle chains, a 520 aftermarket chain is dimensionally smaller, lighter and with a higher tensile strength than an OEM 525 chain. Food for thought.
It would not surprise me in the least if testing reveled the stock chain to be stronger. That’s part of the reason I was on the fence about just sticking with stock after the green chains failed to live up to their claims.

A pox on both houses frankly for failure to disclose the tested to failure tensile strength of Green, Red, or Factory. Or stretch at various tension and miles. So damn much hand-waving by after-merket "performance" companies.
