I have been trying to get my car to pass the New York State Inspection. Part of the inspection is to pass "Emissions Readiness". They will plug into the OBD port with a computer and all the emission monitors have to go ready or it fails. I failed on the Monitor Catalyst, Monitor O2, and Monitor Heated O2. I contacted Lund and they send me a revised "diag" tune that turns on the rear O2 sensors. So I load the tune and go through the recommended Ford drive cycle. I have been doing the drive cycle for 2 weeks now and still have not been able to get the monitors to set. I also contacted PBD and they also send me a revised tune. Still have the same issue. I read somewhere that returning to the stock tune then loading a custom tune will help. So last night I return to the stock tune. At the end where the SCT does a validation and clears the codes I get the "Download-Error# 110D8". Now I can't start the car or return to load a custom tune. I checked online and found that sometimes this is caused by a weak battery. So I went out and bought a new battery. Then tried again to return to stock and get the same error. Right now the car is completely useless. Any ideas???

I had a similar issue, with mine getting a error at around 80%, I had to call derive support, they can get you back up and running. They said it was because I updated the device without going back to stock tune. But it will still do it if I try to revert back to stock. Last time I called they said it seems to be trying to communicate with a certain module that may be different for 18/19 my

If you haven't already, disconnect the battery and leave it disconnected for around 15 minutes to let it discharge, this usually clears up most issues with the it not accepting the file.

I’m sure you already know that every time you switch tunes or disconnect the battery the monitors reset and you have to start all over. Just a heads up in case you didn’t. This will be interesting, first user on here with the Edelbrok S/C and emissions testing. Crossing fingers that you get it to pass, keep us posted. I’ve had very good luck getting SCT to trouble shoot the X4 when I was loading a tune a while back. Give them a call, they are very responsive.

Update: I contacted SCT Tech Support. My stock file was corrupted due to a lack of voltage while flashing the computer in the car. The battery must be at least 12.2 volts before you flash a car. I did replace the battery last night but that was too late. Tech support was able to retrieve my stock file from the SCT device. They fixed the file then I was able to download it to the SCT device. I reprogrammed my car back to stock. Then programmed my custom tune from Lund.
Now I am back to getting my emission monitors to set!
I have never used the tune from Edelbrock. I may have to switch my injectors back to the 47's, change my throttle body and intake, then load that Edelbrock tune for them to set. Its been a real headache so far!!! Thank you all for the feedback!

That is why Whipple puts you on notice to always hookup a battery charger to your mustang before down loading tunes.
