Hi all. I honestly don’t know how this happened (or maybe it happened with a set of keys) but I unfortunately have this bit of a smudge or scratch near the pull handle area of the driver side door. I know this is nothing too crazy but it’s really messing with my ocd lol. I did try some of the suggestions from Cobra Jet such as the heat gun and detailer method but didn’t had much luck. I noticed that this part of the plastic is smooth and not textured and maybe I can use some type of concealer but I’m just not sure what I should really do. Is this something that I can get replaced without having to replace the entire driver door panel? I tried looking online but I can’t figure out what this part is. Anyways I appreciate any feedback. Thank you.

Thank you both for the suggestions. I have already tried 303 protectant but it only helped a bit.

I'm going to try the black shoe polish (I just wonder if there is any black shoe polish that can resemble close enough to the plastic color?) + VRP method and see how it goes. I will circle back as soon as I get the items and provide pics. Thanks!

Good luck, Vic, but me thinks black is black when it comes to shoe polish and vinyl. I'm thinking it will match just fine but if not, it can always be removed so nothing to lose giving it a shot. I also think VRP would round the whole surface out visually. Hope it works, amigo.

Thank you brother. I just purchased the polish and VRP and will definitely give this a shot 🙏 Will update soon.

If you smooth out the scratch, mask off and spray Matt black from a can then it should look perfect. If slightly different shade then do the passenger door the same. I have repaired much worse and cannot see the scratches anymore. It was not on the piece you are referring to though. I believe your problem would be easier to fix than what I had. Diamond ring!!!
