What's up with all the Scout posts? How are they allowed to email directly to Mustang forum members?

It's one of our affiliated sites. They just hit send all. I got the same email on other forums.

I wonder as well. Just look at the cookies that get installed when scrolling around here. I clear them before I go on , leave with 30+

Why do we have 2 sub-forums for Tacoma and 4Runner trucks for months now as well? Stupid.

Yes but a mustang forum should be for Mustang stuff. Don't know if they had a " bug" or Scout paid them money to get inserted in other forums.

I think we are all very well aware the way forums have gone over the years but it doesn't mean diluting other forums is right. Still stupid.

I agree. Just no one should be surprised. Forums are primarily revenue makers, discussion between owners is secondary.

I was wondering as well why those forum links were in a Mustang forum. Couid just be an IT/coding glitch that wasn’t meant to be.

@Jarstang correct me if I’m wrong, but I do not believe this site (and its subsequent “G” sites) are owned by the well known “VerticalScope Inc.” also known by “Autoguide” which is based out of Canada that swindles original forum content owners into being bought out so they can then own the forum….

If the site is owned by that conglomerate, it would have to state so at the very very bottom of the pages where all the tiny hyperlinks are for the “Contact us” etc.

Also you would kind of know if the forum you are on was a VS/AG owned site because ALL of their sites use the same boring platform, with some forum layout, and same advertisers (if any). Just google the (2) names mentioned and there’s plenty of hits that will show previous forum “takeovers” and user disgust.

IMO - this site is THE BEST S550 (and also owned S650) sites around where the site owner and Jarstang take pride in making these sites user friendly, they capture and retain great vendors, and keep the sites fresh with updates, etc.
