Do you even look at what you post? This chart shows hospital bed capacity and ICU was basically the same during covid peaks and valleys. Good lord...
Yeah, at 100%. Not where you constantly want hospitals running at. That's the point.

While omicron is starting to look like the beginning of the end, we could still be in some fairly murky waters. Even if it's half as virulent as delta, if we're getting 3 or 4 or 10 times the cases, that still leads to hospitals being put under even more strain overall.

If you can't look at the data by now on the 8 or 9 billion covid vaccine doses that have been administered around the world, and realize that it greatly lessens your chances of death from covid, you simply aren't very bright.

I remember back in November when the “experts“ told us that we’d likely be seeing 20,000 - 25,000 cases per day…
Lol, as if they know anything.
Today is December 31st and….wait…what?

You are an idiot. How anyone could look at the data I posted and think everything is just fine boggles the mind.

...oh, wait...yeah, that's right, the Big Pharma rep thinks otherwise.

Go count some pills.

FL hospitals never hit 100%. When cases of covid jump by 2 to 3 times previous peaks, alot of people in and admitted to hospitals will be testing positive. It does not mean they are hospitalized FOR covid.
Agree, but a lot are being treated for COVID. UK figures suggest around 35% in hospital with COVID were there for something else first or coincidentally. However admissions are doubling weekly at the moment (and that sure ain't more broken legs and heart attacks!)

Current data from SA and UK suggests 'omicron' is around 70% less virulent, but makes up for that by being considerably more contagious. Interestingly the incubation period seems to be shorter as well.

Gonna blow out in Jan and Feb stock up on dry powder for travel and oil stocks at huge discount!

Opportunity in crises!
But you had already converted to cash and have just missed out on some handy stock price rises. The markets have already worked out the impact of omicron, they are way ahead of you ...

Do you have a source of valid data that shows what percentage of people that were hospitalized tested positive for Covid but were actually hospitalized for something else besides Covid? Ie, data that shows Covid wasn't actually why they had to go into the hospital. Or is this just your "feelings" on what's happening?
It's what was reported by all the FL hospitals during the last wave. About 1/3 were hospitalized for other reasons and were mildly or asymptomatic for covid.

No one said it was "fine" - the point, which always sails over your tiny mind, was your own data (beds and ICU) shows little difference between the lowest point of covid and now. Of course it will get worse but it's not the end of the world and won't be as bad as the delta wave. Let's just reconfirm you are a total science moron and move on!

Vert turbo!!!!
The point was - that chart showed bed and ICU capacity at the lowest point if the pandemic for WA (end of july/1st week Aug) was identical to now - 100% beds filled, 83% ICU.
The hospitals increased the bed count and then reduced... maybe they kept the bed count but started shipping patients to other hospitals and even out of the state. Or they had a combination. Not to mention delta is more severe to younger folks.

There is a lot happening in the healthcare system which you don't seem to be aware.

I have no idea how you guys are doing it in the US but in my city, there’s not one person in the local ICU with Covid.
The reason? All Covid patients who require ICU are sent to a larger hospital in another area.
So of course some of the locals think there’s little impact because they don’t see their ICU overflowing….🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
