I have been a member for a little while. Not too long. I just wanted to say hello to everyone else since I only frequent the sub sections of interest.

I will say first and foremost that I am not a Ford guy. In fact, I don't like Ford. Never have. However, the new Mustang look had appealed to me. It has a very mature look and sleek lines. Photos made me laugh at the car. Won't lie. But, seeing it in person made me change my opinion.

I've always been impartial to Chevys. Still am. In fact I was going to wait for the 2016 Camaro. But, after owning two 5th Camaros... The new Camaro while fast as hell... Was more of the same "appearance" wise. ...and sadly Chevy can't seem to make the back end look right after the 2010-13 models. The new back end looks like butchered Corvette lights with a Malibu end. Horrible.

I won't lie, I would be lying if I said at some point I will buy another Camaro.

With that said, this is my first Mustang ever. Never thought I would. I test drove the 2016 models. The two I debated with was the GT and the Ecoboost. The V6 was of no interest. I went with the Ecoboost... And after owning V8s... I had to think if I truly ever felt the pay of it was justified. Not really. The Ecoboost test drive left me intrigued. It felt great driving it and handled turns much better than V8. Maybe due to less weight. Plus, the platform has so much potential for exciting mods down the road. Only thing I dislike? The sound note. Even if it is a four banger turbo... Other manufacturers had been more than capable of producing an excellent note. Ford failed in this department.

Also, the build quality inside the car is iffy when compared to Chevy. While the outside is beautiful, the interior is nice, but it has squeaks and if you pay attention to certain areas it has flexing in the areas such as the center console if touched. My Camaros never had these issues. Also, Camaros are very much driver focused with interior design unlike the Mustang.

All in all... The Mustang has been a delight to drive. My roommate has an FRS and I turn corners with ease when we cruise together. I have had fun spirited runs with a Corvette and newer Challenger model. I'm pleased with the performance. My 0-60 no mods or tune was 5.1. Not too shabby.

As of now, overall - I am a pleased Mustang owner.

One of my 5th Gen Camaros. All work done by SLP.

Have to disagree. The S550 is much easier to see out of and a better driver's car. IMO. The interior is a sweet design and MUCH improved.

As always owned GM (until the coyote started punching all us Chevy guys in the balls) the mustang is the better car in general and looks a lot better. I had an 06 GTO before I got my mustang GT in 2011 and I can honestly say I doubt I ever go back to a GM sports car unless it's a corvette, and id take a GT350 over a c7 any day at this point. I'll still always buy Chevy trucks tho. It's crazy switching to the other side when you grew up in Chevy trucks, Yukon Denalis etc...

Wat.

Visibility is much nicer out of the Mustang. Never said anything about it. My comments regarding "driver focused interior" has to do with the fact that the Camaro interior is focused on the driver and the way the dash and everything lines up.

To me that "Transformers" style car is so dated..wow GM come on and get serious. Chassis and drivetrain are there but can you "bring it" on the body lines

Hard to believe they would change it that much. The corvette cult nearly burned GM headquarters down when they took away pop up headlights.

Pretty much why I felt a need of a different car. Performance wise, the car is great (new Camaro). But, too much of an "evolution" on a design that has been used for too long.

People... Please don't think I'm some kind of temporary Mustang guy.

While I love Camaros (although my dream car is to rebuild a 'Cuda)... I'm not particularly loyal to a brand.

I love cars.

I love my Mustang. A V8 guy loves the Ecoboost.

Just wanted to say hello and I hope to make new car buddies along the way. [emoji106]

welcome, I was a died in the wool GM/Chevy/Pontiac girl until the 2013 refresh of the Mustang. Something about those taillights and the GT500-esque front end won me over and I HAD TO HAVE IT.

The new Camaro felt exactly like my old GTO but in new skin, so I never got into the 2010-2015 years. I hated the taillights on the 10-13 cars, and while I liked the 14-15 cars, my wife didn't.

after our '13 Mustang was great, the 15+ Mustang to me is just a work of art, and miles ahead of what the Camaro was in that gen. Even for the 16+, the Camaro might have the power advantage right now, I just didn't really bond with the ones I checked out, even though of the post-4th gen Camaros, the 16 is the best looking to me.. Then there's the price. A loaded 2SS vert w/ magride and NPP would come in around 55k or so, whereas my loaded GTPP Vert came in at 49k

Never thought I'd have a Ford, much less two of them.
