Anyone know if the new safety nannies are standard on all Mustangs trims or is it just premiums?:

  • Pre-Collision Assist with pedestrian detect, distance alert, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, driver alert system and forward-facing camera

It's 401A package only which can only be selected on top of the Premium package.

Out of all of those, I would have loved a forward facing camera. Or even a side camera when your turn signal comes on. The Honda Civics have the side cams.

Go to the build a Mustang tab on Ford's site. Near the bottom you'll be able to select the 401A package and it lists everything it comes with.

Glad to hear that, and thanks, can you tell me where you found that?
But I don't think you get the forward facing camera.
401A you only get the braking and adaptive cruise control.
I don't think forward camera is an option on the Mustang.

IMHO, the forward-facing camera mentioned, is simply the visual sensor for the adaptive cruise control.

Well the adaptive cruise control is a radar sensor.
The camera is an actual camera that does the lane departure thing. I think this might be an option on the 2018+ Mustangs.

But I guess I'm wondering if they will become standard for the '18 model, thus a price hike.

He's asking about the 2018 Mustang which isn't on Ford's site yet.
