Hi there, thinking about upgrading the stock turbo in Ecoboost 2018. I was actually aiming at Turbonetics Twin-Scroll NX2 but I am open for other suggestions. The main use of the car is rather daily driving so I want to keep it rather silent. This is going to be a third stage of the upgrades but I want to know more or less the price I will have to deal with. At this point, the intake, intercooler, downpipe and catback exhaust will be already replaced.

- Is a new blow off valve a must? I don't really like that "psssh" sound but I don't want to avoid it at a cost of significantly lower turbo lifetime
- Should I replace the charge pipes with aftermarket ones?
- Should I replace the wastegate or turbo manifolds?
- Is there anything else that I should definitely replace/add to this build?

My budget is pretty limited because of turbo's high price so I don't want to spend additional money unless it's a safety need or brings a significant change in terms of HP/TQ.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Bov is not required at all. You can retain your stock bypass valve.
People that upgrade generally want a bit more turbo sounds.

You can also upgrade to an aftermarket diverter valve. Does the same as stock so it's quiet, just stronger so no risk of breaking it

^ What he said. I have the GFB DV+ diverter valve. It eliminated the annoying constant hiss I was getting while just cruising at highway speed, but I still get the cool turbo noises when I step on it.

That's exactly what I want to achieve. Thanks guys.
