Hi,

I recently bought a new catback exhaust, following mods will be a new intercooler and downpipe, then a tune.

What power can I expect from this setup? I want something safe, suitable for daily driving. I saw some people claiming to get 350+ whp from the stock turbo, is that real and safe?

Thanks!

I believe Adam can tune a full bolt on car to about 330whp on pump fuel. If you want 350 then you need to go meth/E85 or something like that. From what I've read these motors can handle up to about 450 I think.

I can't speak for everyone, but my stock turbo numbers are:
FBO, 93oct - 300whp/380tq
FBO, 93oct w/Meth - 350whp/415tq

Cars runs great and seems very safe.

You need every bolt on and meth e30 or 85 and you can hit those. These cars are hitting 220/rwhp on the dyno on a lot, so people don't realize how good 350 rwhp and 400 TQ is.

That's actually what I'm researching now. Since it's a 317 hp engine I expected like 285 WHP but seems like the real numbers are much lower. So after all it seems that 300-310 WPH upgrade is something I will really notice.

What should the Vargas stage 1 make with 93 octane full bolt on?

220 is on the low side I've heard a few different people say this but Most I've seen including my own are around 260 and that was on a mustang dyno. After heat soaked 92 tune it put down 275/355 fwiw.
I think losing damn near 100 hp from crank numbers is ridiculous, if that's actually a regular happening ford severely overrated this engine or something's off imo.

Right it's a measuring tool, to many different variables to compare directly but if you're losing 100 hp from crank something's off somewhere. Mine was done by a cobb shop so iam pretty sure they know what's up.
