Ford will fix that. They fixed my friends issue. They replaced the hood completely.
The warranty was changed for the '16 and up models - if its a 15 and its out of warranty he is SOL, as he would be for virtually ANY manufacturer and their warranty. My '16 has bubbling along the leading edge and the dealer was very confident that it would be covered, I just need to get it into the bodyshop to get it documented and submitted.

The OP’s car is a 16’ that Ford will not fix.

Original poster indicates his Mustang is a 2016. I believe Ford extended the warranty to include 2016's, sadly not my 2015

Yes, 99% sure I could based off of that photo. Of course Ford requires more than 1 photo for a submission but I can see the paint bubbling around where it has flaked off. It’s fairly common and I probably do at least 1-2 hood replacements on Fords every month under warranty.
