It's the color, my wife has a 14 edge the front of the truck looks horrible, the paint is soft.

Good to hear OP, I bet the dealership verified the paint was of minimal thickness and not within specification. Paint thickness can be determined with the proper gage/meter tester. Understanding the thickness specs can take a little digging for us laymen to figure out though.

Sadly it is a loose loose situation as if it does get fixed I loose the factory paint... Thoughts anyone!
