Thanks Bob. Finally there but tonight and tomorrow will be a struggle until pickup - especially with this lovely weather. Ended up getting their Perfexion paint protection/ceramic coating as I put a ridiculous price out there and they said ok - hope its half decent. Just makes life easier for me with getting the car places etc. RAA includes windscreen etc but most important to me is choice of repairer - been with them for years. How did you go with them and exhaust on your car Bob ?

Thanks Mark, I would definitely be hassling Shannons for a better price. A mate of mine was a team leader at RAA up until recently and said they were aggressively trying to get sports/performance car business and their pricing sure reflects that. had a not at fault claim on a car last year and they were faultless to deal with - rather than waiting for at fault persons insurance who was useless...

Yeah thanks for the insurance info. I'm with shannons multiple policy 4 cars and home and content and been with them for ages and they quoted me 1250 with 650 excess. Might get a quote from RAA and see how it compares then phone shannons back. Car still a bit away

No problems with the exhaust with RAA....told them all my basic mods....badges, grille, exhaust, tint, strut brace, .....they have no issues. Lets face it, an after market exhaust would probably be much cheaper than replacing a stock exhaust anyway....
Good work getting the paint protection at a good price and before you take delivery...a time saver.

Yeah Bob. All that finger crossing may have worked. My 5 year old was telling me on the way to school how she can "rug up" so we can drive home with the top down later...I think she may be worse than me !

Hi all,

Who would be interested in a track day at Mallala? There are enthusiast days every couple of months. Unless we combined with another car club it makes it hard to get a private track day without paying through the nose; hopefully in time when we get many more members we could run our own. I'm thinking October 13th might be the best option in order to give more people a chance to take delivery of their cars and less chance of rain.

What's everyone's thoughts?
Putting this one back out there now some more people have taken delivery; any interest for an August or October track day?

I like the idea but a week day means the whole day is quite expensive when you take into account lost income.

What about the practice days out there at Mallala one Saturday a month? About $110- from memory (+ one days CAMS licence of $35- if you need it). Last time I went to one I had plenty of track time and the canteen was open for food / coffee.

Difference in cost is the limited numbers on the track at a time, usually only approx. 10 and you are grouped with similar paced cars. On the open days it may be cheaper but is open to everyone including bikes and can be quite busy; plus I don't really want to be on the track with someone in a shitbox that thinks they are Ricky Bobby

Just got my car detailed by Nathanael at Perfection Automotive Detailing. It received Opti-coat Pro+ on the body and wheels. Optic-Guard on the interior, Opti-Glass, and Suntek Carbon tinting. He did a thorough and professional job over two days. Some pics below.

Car looks awesome Mark. Funny how I spotted 3 today driving around..certainly notice them more now.Been off driving around but for the other end of the spectrum - here is my blend in with the crowd conservative version...

PS. My five year old daughter is just (maybe more) excited about the car than me...trying to get her on the Ford advertising books with the one in the showroom lol
