S550 stripes?

Can anyone tell me if the S550’s (Mustang GT’s in particular) ever had an option to order stripes similar to the stripes on a GT350 (main stripe with attached white pin strip), or do all S550 (non-Shelby) stripes come without pin stripes?

You need to check out Big Worm my friend.

I believe the GT has one large fat strip and one pinstripe beside it.
The GT350 has dual thinner stripes down the middle?
The GT500 has dual thicker stripes down the middle?

No factory option isn't a problem. Many aftermarket stripes are superior to any Ford vinyl. The best vinyl is cast which is the same color thru and thru and longer lasting. But unlike paint which can be mixed to make virtually infinite colors, cast vinyl is only made in (I'm guessing) hundreds of colors. Ford wants to have proprietary colors so they have the color "printed" on on top of a neutral substrate, like pictures of plumbers on the sides of vans.

I'd rather have longer lasting cast vinyl in any of hundreds of colors and any size and pattern I want. Disclaimer: I did neither and had Velocity Blue stripes painted on.

+1 for Big Worm. Great quality and plenty of color options to choose from. I put the narrower Gt350-style stripes on mine with a red pinstripe.
