Are there any fake scoops on Mr. Roush's personal Mustang ... nope :clap2:
Maybe if his other plane that crashed had more drag from side scoops it wouldn't have crashed while landing back in 2010!

Anyone that makes a remark about someone taste and how they personalize their car is the one with the low IQ.

:clap2:...that and just people skills in general suck!!! To me some are tasteful mods. I dont like gold/silver trim or big ol ricer wings, but hey too each his own. If you don't like something, just say you don't like. But don't say someones IQ is low because they have caliper covers on their Mustang...LOL

That's pretty harsh, seeing as the accident really hurt him.

FWIW, the guys that race P-51's have mostly gone to total loss cooling systems to get rid of the belly scoop used to route air to the heat exchanger. Getting rid of the cooling drag is reported to be worth 1,000 horsepower and nearly 100 mph greater speed.

Future side scoops (GT350) will likely vent from the front fenders creating boundary layer airflow which decreases drag. The Mustang already sort of has that before the front wheels (molded into the fender liner / bumper cover) as does some new BMW's and the Nissan GTR which does most of 200mph while looking like it was designed with Legos.

I expect non functional side scoops to go the way of Continental kits. But hey, side scoops are a lot less drag than open convertible and I love me some topless Mustangs.

Tired of Roush's boring approach to slapping on billet grilles with new fog lights and fake scoops. The grille is the only mod anyone will ever find useful, and they will probably only order it seperately as a part for their car. Why does anyone ever pay $5-10k more over sticker for such minor add-ons.

Fake side scoops or fake scoops/vents of any kind are a blight on the Mustang. The only lasting thing those useless doodads accomplish is giving people reasons not to take the Mustang seriously as a sports car. Make it functional or make it gone.

Yea I know them side scopes are really going to slow me down so much when im blasting through the quarter mile Lol, ridiculous. Maybe if I was doing 200 mph I might think about how much drag they cause.
