Whenever I see a cylinder misfire, I swap coils from opposite ends. If on a 4cyl, I swap 1 with 4 or on a V8, 6 with 2. If the code remains the same, then swap plugs. if its still the same code, then it requires a different approach.

Need some help. I own a 2015 GT Premium with 115,000 on it. I was recently on my way home on a 11 hour drive. The last 20 minutes I stopped, turn car off, and got something to drink. Cranked her up no issue but around 5th gear I noticed a bogged/flooded sound while exiting the ramp onto the interstate and the check engine light came on. I pulled over and she was about to die.. idling rough and barely running. Being 20 minutes from home I pushed on with no issue. She sounds extremely flooded with a tapping on the driver side. Code is P0306 vacuum issue. I don't want to take this to a dealership as I think they just add on extra issues that dont need to be fixed. I would like to fix it myself.

I'm thinking its a stuck lifter and I can add a short video with the sound if needed.

My question : if this is a stuck lifter can it be fixed from the top side or does it need to be taken apart to be fixed? Any thoughts or experience with this issue is welcome.
You're overthinking this, your lifters are fine. You probably had a clip on a vacuum line fail and now ots running bad because the engine is sucking in unmetered air...

Start by checking your vacuum hoses and the connections to them.

If you had a failed lifter you would have a valve in a piston right now...

And in all honesty u are way better off just taking it to ford. You can ask them to look at the car and if they are quoting u high numbers you can refuse them fixing it then fix it yourself. They may charge u a 150.00 diagnosis fee but thats cheaper than blindly swapping parts hoping for a solution...

If the Computer says theres a vacuum issue id trust what the Computer says. Its actually very very good at self diagnosing...

Well replaced all plugs and coils which needed to be done after putting 115,000 on them. The bad news is that it didn't fix the problem and for the first time I see exhaust smoke coming from the passenger side exhaust manifold. Plan to have it towed to the Ford dealership the first part of the week. Just going to take the advice of a few on here and have them give it a complete look over while they're fixing all the issues.

I already have a MBRP race exhaust and don't want it any louder but if i do have a bad manifold do you have any suggestions that would increase power without waking up the entire neighborhood?

Again thanks for all the suggestions and I will keep you updated with what I find out.

I've been busy working out of town but I have an update. Ford dealership discovered no compression on cylinder 6 which is the side I heard the tapping. Turns out it was a broken valve spring. I picked her up from the dealership today and she is good to go for $650. FYI they mentioned to me that I was lucky it wasn't one of the valve springs on either 2 of the cylinders near the firewall as those 2 require that you take out the cam which is a 13 hour job supposedly. $$$$$$

Thanks for all the comments and thoughts. Good group of people in this forum,
