Not sure how clear this will be as it was a very low res pic when I downloaded it, and can't remember where I got it from, but this shows what should be adjusted, and the torque specs, when resetting the preload after dropping the car. There's probably clearer information out there... it's just a case of finding it!

I went for the Pedders. Great value and give a really smooth, classy and adjustable setup. Car drives like an Aston now...

I have Teins in my GT86, they don't make a sound and don't fall apart either. I did have one issue where the front spring perches unscrewed themselves and because the front struts have internal hydraulic bumpstops I just thought the springs had settled because they were new?? When I went to correct the rideheight I found the spring perches floating in free air!!

I could quite easily turn up some adaptors, only trouble is the Steeda mounts are 10mm aren't they?

I believe the whole in the bearing is actually larger closer to 17-18mm and they ship size collars because they support the kw up to 12mm so really it would only need the same collar as the kw set but bored to 13mm id I ofc don't have a set of either pedders or steeda bearing to test/confirm.

Cheers pal :D! I take it the highest arrow on the left (for front) is also 184 like it's compatriot?

I'm just theorising as I don't have either I'm holding off getting the suspension until someone provides mounts that support pedders :) I'm from yorkshire I refuse to pay more than a grand for coilovers for a non-tracked car :)

ROBBIEEEEEEEEEEE? @steedauk get on it ;)

To be honest, if Nige can machine something that allows pedders to sit in the steeda topmounts, jobs a goodun

indeed I don't have any of the tools else i'd have experimented myself first but since he has the tools and is considering coilovers :) then if we can convince him to get pedders + steeda mounts then he can do the leg work for us :)

That's itemised by Ford (it appears to be one of their diagrams) as the 'tension link'. Don't know why there's no figure on that one, but would expect it to be closer to the 120-130 ft lbs region.

Will have to look into that further... know anyone with an S550 Ford Technicians Manual?

Me.

It's 6600 odd pages but when I get a minute I'll have a look.

Take a look at this post. I got some spacers made up, I think all the info is there. If not just ask.

I haven't got round to fitting them yet, it'll probably be spring now. It's a bit cold to be rolling around the yard floor at the moment.

The picture of which bushings to clock is in the sticky of the suspension section in the main forum.

I certainly can make those spacers guys. In fact I would design them so i could get the shock up as high into the mount as possible, giving increased travel in compression. Doing this would possibly also improve rigidity?? If I get pedders and Steeda top mounts it'll be easy, if not can someone lend me a Steeda top mount as a pattern. Maybe @Steeda could send a drawing, then I'll make em and steeda get sales??

I have a set of Steeda mounts for KW still in the box brand new. I bought Pedders so did not fit them. Anyone can have them for ÂŁ100 if you PM me.
